The experience of sharing God’s word and love with our children and community is so rewarding – both you and the children are sure to experience God in a new way through your service. The opportunities to become involved in aspects of our children’s ministry programs abound. Check out just a few ways you can impact the lives of our children and our community here. Also, feel free to submit ideas about other ways that you can become involved to our Children’s Director, Krystal. The only thing that’s missing is YOU!
Are You Our Next Wednesday "Chef of the Night"?
World famous meatloaf? Flavorful spaghetti and meat sauce? Roasted chicken? Dialing the local carryout? Whatever your specialty is, share it with us as a “Chef of the Night”. Gather some friends and host one of our Wed night dinners in the month of January or February. Every chef team needs a lead that will work within budget, make yummy food happen and ensure the team leaves a clean kitchen afterwards.
If you would be up for the challenge, sign-up here, pick an available date, build a team and let us know what you will serve.
Thank you for considering it
ARHA After-School Program: Volunteers Needed
ARHA is partnering with DBC to provide an after-school program for middle school students, Monday-Wednesday, 4:30-6:30PM. Youth and adult volunteers are needed to provide homework assistance, monitor student completion of school work, actively participate in periodic workshops with youth and encourage positive behaviors during the program. Training is provided and volunteers 18 years and older must successfully complete a background check with Alexandria City Public Schools. Contact Ron Allen to sign up for this great opportunity to serve the children of our community!
We are currently building our media and sound team and we need you! Help us create an atmosphere of God honoring Worship at Downtown Baptist! If you have an interest in serving in this vital ministry then email David Brown.
We need folks to make coffee and get things together for our fellowship time on Sunday mornings at 10:30. Volunteers typically serve one Sunday a month. If you can help, contact the church office.
