We believe that marriage is a sacred gift from God. When two people are considering entering into this sacred union, we feel it is our responsibility to provide counseling as a support to their decision to marry. Any couple desiring to marry at DBC needs to contact Carolyn Jenkins, our Minister of Christian Education, in order to schedule an appointment to meet with her. At that appointment, she discusses what is required as a prerequisite for marriage at DBC. Typically, pre-marital counseling involves 6-8 hours of work by the couple over a period of several weeks. There are videos to view, books to read, couples to interview, questions to answer, etc.
