Here is what one of our members says about attending Downtown Baptist:

"DBC is a praying church. We pray specifically, for big and small things. My faith in God and in the power of prayer has grown as I've seen God answer those prayers. DBC has been a family for me when I really needed one."

We believe in the Bible, that it was divinely inspired by God. We believe that God is the one and only living and true God. We believe that Christ is the eternal Son of God and is the One Mediator, fully God, fully man, in whose Person is effected the reconciliation between God and man...

After teaching elementary school (3rd & 4th grade) for six years, God led me not to renew my teaching contract for the following year, sell our home, and move my family to Fort Worth, Texas where I would be attending Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in preparation for the ministry. I had just earned my Masters Degree in Educational Administration and Supervision with the intent to move from teaching in the classroom to be the principal of my own school. To have to turn right around a year later and go back to school to earn another degree was not what I wanted the Lord to tell me to do...
